Owning the Road, One Shirt at a Time

King of the Highway didn’t begin in a boardroom or with some big corporate plan. It started in a small design classroom, when a graphic design student kept sketching classic truck silhouettes, endless highways, and that feeling you get when the asphalt stretches beyond the horizon. That spark turned into a bigger idea — a clothing brand built for people who rule the road and live life one mile at a time.

The founder called in two close friends:

• An IT whiz who built a smooth, easy-to-use website where anyone could design their own truck shirt and order it without fuss.

• A marketing pro who shaped the story so every true road warrior — whether they drive an 18-wheeler or just love the highway life — would feel an instant connection.

From that original crew of three, King of the Highway has grown into a tight-knit workshop team of over ten people, each knowing the entire shirt-making process so they can step in anywhere when the orders start stacking up.

Crafting Gear Built for the Road

Every piece of King of the Highway apparel — from vintage truck tees to open-road hoodies — is made in our own workshop. We never outsource production, so every step stays in our hands. Our “base shirts” come from trusted U.S. suppliers like Bella+Canvas, Gildan, Hanes, and Next Level Apparel — brands that deliver consistent comfort, reliable fit, and quality that lasts mile after mile.

When new blanks arrive, they’re laid out and checked for seams, hems, and fabric quality. Any shirt that doesn’t pass gets set aside. Before printing, we clean and press each one so the print holds strong whether you’re cruising in dry heat or rolling through humid nights.

Printing methods depend on the design:

• DTG printing for detailed, colorful truck art.

• Screen printing for bold, road-tested slogans.

• Heat transfer for special textures or effects.
  Sometimes we mix methods to nail that perfect look.

After printing, each shirt is inspected for color accuracy, alignment, and print quality. Only then is it folded, bagged, labeled, and packed — ready to ride out to its new owner.

The Crew Behind the Wheel

Our workshop hums with designers, print techs, and packers — all sharing the same road-loving spirit. When things get busy, roles blur: a designer might be trimming loose threads, while a printer jumps in to help pack. Those days are loud, fast-paced, and full of the same energy you feel on the open road.

Looking Down the Highway

We’re adding a bigger DTG printer, a multi-color screen setup, and a more advanced customization tool so you can preview your design in 3D before ordering. We’re also working on trucker caps, lightweight jackets, and gear for road trip meetups — because the King of the Highway lifestyle isn’t just about shirts, it’s about living the journey.
